Nash Team10 – UNC Cancer Care at Nash Campaign

Nash Health Care Foundation

Nash Health Care Foundation is officially launching our next Campaign towards the health and wellness of our community. For the next year, we have an overall goal of raising $3 million towards UNC Cancer Care at Nash, as well as our newly established Foundation Endowment, with funds specifically being allocated to community wellness programs. As part of our larger campaign, the Team10 initiative has been established to allow the community in helping aid our funding efforts to reach, and hopefully exceed, our set goal. Join us in making Team10 a success!

Construction is almost complete on our NEW Danny Talbott Cancer Center at Nash! This new center will bring our community an all-inclusive multidisciplinary model designed to cater to every patients need. Continuum of cancer care will be the highest priority, starting from prevention, to diagnosis, through treatment, and on to survivorship and end-of-life care.

"You hear about so many people being diagnosed with cancer. But, there is a difference when it's you in the chair being told by the doctor you have cancer." - Danny Talbott

Patients diagnosed with cancer can face tremendous financial as well as physical and emotional challenges. In addition to the construction of our new center, contributions from Team10 will help fund our UNC Cancer Care Patient Assistance Program. This fund helps alleviate some of the financial burden, so our patients can focus on hope, health and healing.

Danny Talbott was a hometown legend and UNC all-star football player, as well as a seven-year survivor of multiple myeloma, a form of cancer that attacks the plasma cells in the bone marrow. In honor of his strength, comradery and spirit we have developed our current Cancer Campaign around his football jersey number, 10. But this is more than a number, Team10 represents how our community can fight cancer as a team. As a team, one individual’s contribution can turn into something much greater, and in turn become more impactful.

We have two great opportunities for you to become a part of our Team10, and help bring world class cancer care to our community!
